Winners at MTV Africa Music Awards 2016 in pictures

Wizkid led the way with three awards on a glamorous night in South Africa.

Nigerian pop star Wizkid won three awards with wins in the Best Male Act and Artiste of the Year categories, as well as for his feature on DJ Maphorisa‘s ‘Soweto Baby’ that won Best Collaboration.

South African stars Cassper Nyovest and Emtee won for Best Live and Best Hip Hop respectively, with Shekhinah and Kyle Deutsch taking home the Best Pop/Alternative award.
